Snow Reminders for Homeowners in Holiday City Silverton

Please remember that we are all to move our vehicles from the street prior to snow plowing. It is our responsibility to find a safe driveway for our vehicles.

Remember there is a law that states all of our sidewalks must be shoveled after snowfall.

Reminder to snowbirds or those on vacation during snowfalls...kindly make arrangements for someone to remove snow from your driveway and your sidewalks. This protects those of us here, as well as the security of your home.

Bingo - Welcome Volunteers!

Every Friday since the year 2004,
Holiday City opens the clubhouse door.

The kitchen is buzzing, the aroma is great.
The coffee is brewing, the fries on the plate.

The homemade desserts – you wouldn’t believe.
Even Martha Stewart would be challenged to achieve.

The players take their seats for a weekly encore.
And if they are not in their favorite seat – it’s a war.

The callers and cashiers have become real pros.
The players manage to keep them on their toes.

The bingo equipment is a right up to par.
Boards on each wall – players need not look far.

We even have a treasure chest to add to the fun.
Winners take their prizes and off they run.

Our volunteers contribute to all this success.
Without you, it would be a big mess.

Volunteering comes deep from your heart.
When you share your talents and feel you have a part.

They say volunteering is good for the brain.
Perhaps that is keeping us from being insane.

We are a big team, each and every one.
Working hard and having some fun.

We look forward to another prosperous year.
Lift your glasses and toast in good cheer.

Proposed By – Law Change

Be it resolved that article “X”, Section (E), page 28 of Holiday City Organization, Phase Two “Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions” which reads as follows:

“(E) No owner or person who is either a member or required to be a member of the organization may own more than one living unit in the properties which are subject to the “Declaration of Covents and Restriction of the Organization” be changed to:

“An owner and resident of a dwelling unit in Holiday City Organization, Phase Two, may purchase and own one additional dwelling unit.”
The rational for this change is as follows:

  1. When a house becomes available for sale, an obvious list of perspective buyers is immediately present.
  2. Possibility of neglectful absentee ownership will be reduced.
  3. A resident owner will be much more diligent in assuring the proper upkeep of his/her rental property.
  4. A renter will be much more aware of the responsibilities of living in Holiday City.

This resolution will be discussed and voted upon at the October Semi-Annual General Meeting, on Saturday, the 24th at 10AM and will require a majority of qualified attendants to pass this resolution.
